I had the opportunity to present PHOTARCH at Scandinavian Photo’s flagship store in Stockholm, as part of a Fujifilm event hosted in collaboration with landscape photographer Serkan Günes. The day focused on medium format photography and workflow demonstrations.
During my session, I introduced the principles behind PHOTARCH. I walked the audience through the technical setup, including lighting angles, background calibration, and the use of Fujifilm’s GFX system to achieve detailed and standardized results across collections and institutions.
It was a pleasure to share the stage with Serkan, whose work offers a very different, yet equally meticulous, approach to image-making. The contrast between our photographic disciplines sparked engaging discussions with attendees – from archivists and students to working photographers – about intention, process, and the role of photography in preserving time and place.
The event was not only a chance to demonstrate the PHOTARCH setup in person, but also to connect with people who care deeply about visual clarity and long-term documentation. Many thanks to Fujifilm and Scandinavian Photo for the invitation and support.
